But for you to bother thinking about, then writing, then putting up this post means you care. (So don't think he's being callous, kids!) Which is great, as who would have thought marketers had a heart...:)

True story: a seemingly very smart and very proactive grad student contacted me at a consultancy where I work and said 'loved our stuff, she was the one and wanted to work for us'.

We had nothing, but her resume and clearly long term commitment to being on the money (not just a 'recently' savvy person) impressed me. So sort of depressing in a way that by the time you leave uni you need to have other attributes and experience other than a degree but anyway...

The upshot being I heard of an opportunity for an internship from a reputable agency next door to ours, put her forward, and lo and behold...and there ends my blog post-like comment .</description>
